Raaj Chheda’s Artist Statement

Everyone envisions a goal and it is this goal that is the driving force of life. My goal is to create art that has an intrigue factor while also carrying a message. I was always fascinated with individuals, real or fictitious, who had the uncanny ability to rise from their struggles with a never-give-up attitude. The act of never giving up and keep pushing is special to me. My art depicts the emotional experiences and overcoming challenges in life.
Since I was a child, art wasn’t just a hobby, but it was a way for me to keep on going. I pursued it by graduating from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. My portfolio is www.crimsonartists.com.
I am inspired by the work of Steven Spielberg. However, there have been other artists I follow closely like Burnie Burns/Matt Hullum, founders and creators of “Rooster Teeth Productions”, Freddie Wong, founder of “Rocket Jump Productions”, and James Rolfe, founder of “Cinemassacre,” and Lindsey Stirling. These folks started off in home-based studios/productions and they rose to fame with online media. These are the kind of people that I admire because of their ability to start small and actually go places later in life.
One thing is for sure that art is my life. I will never abandon it till the day I die because it is the very thing that keeps me going. My friends and family think that I have talent. I want to keep building up my skill set and exploring my talents and creativity to make a difference in the world of art.
